Swanson Family Construction is seeking a skilled and versatile Remodeling Specialist & Finish Carpenter to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on both interior and exterior residential projects, with a particular focus on kitchen and bathroom remodels. You will be responsible for handling finish carpentry, tile work, punch lists, and managing smaller projects from start to finish, including coordinating with subcontractors. If you're great with customers, detail-oriented, and able to assist with projects at various stages, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform finish carpentry for kitchen and bathroom remodels, including cabinets, trim, and custom woodwork.
- Complete small tile bathroom projects from start to finish, including floor and wall tile installations.
- Tackle interior and exterior punch list tasks such as painting, touch-ups, light flooring projects, and final finishes.
- Assist with multiple stages of various remodeling projects, working collaboratively with subs and other team members.
- Use and maintain the company-provided service van to visit job sites and complete tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating project updates and next steps clearly and effectively.
- Solve on-site problems efficiently and independently, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
Ideal Candidate Should Possess: - Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in finish carpentry and remodeling, with a focus on kitchens and bathrooms.
- Skills: Proficient in tile work, carpentry, light flooring, painting, and punch list items.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues on-site and provide practical solutions.
- Customer Service: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients and provide updates.
- Project Management: Understanding of project flow and the ability to manage small remodeling projects from start to finish, including coordinating with subcontractors.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work on a variety of tasks and assist with multiple stages of a project.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.

Schedule: - Full Time
- Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work based on project needs.
Work Location: - Howard Lake, MN and surrounding areas.
